Back-to-school basket ideas

Is it just me or does it feel like summer is flying by? I know back-to-school time will be here before I know it. Back-to-school basket ideas

I love putting together themed baskets for my girls. Why is it that everything looks cuter in a basket? In case you are looking for back-to-school basket ideas, here is what I am getting for my girls this year.

How darling is this kindergarten sweatshirt (also comes in preschool and elementary)! It goes perfectly with this cute pencil bow. Also, this back-to-school bracelet is so sweet. I know my girls will love them.

My oldest needs a new backpack. I am considering this darling daisy backpack and this lunch box (without the name monogram for safety reasons).

And I found the cutest back-to-school confetti. I am going to pair it with this ready confetti printable I made. It is a cute tradition that you can do the night before the first day of school. The printable explains the tradition, but basically, they take some of the confetti and put it under their pillow the night before school. The “magic” ready confetti will help them sleep through the night and wake up feeling ready for their big day.

There is nothing quite like a new box of crayons, am I right? My sister-in-law is a preschool teacher and gave my girls these twistable crayons last Christmas. They break so much less than regular crayons. And there is no wrapper for my girls to peel off and make a mess of. I will be including a fresh box in each of their back-to-school baskets.

And of course, their back-to-school baskets wouldn’t be complete without a new book. I got The Day You Begin Book for this year. Last year, we did Our Class is a Family Book and it is a favorite as well.

As far as the actual basket to put it in, it took me a while to find something that would fit since some items are bigger. But I found this two-pack of these versatile white wire ones which I plan to reuse every year.
